June closed out with a sushi party. 
And despite the Taste of Chicago being postponed, we kicked off July 4th with a festive sweet and savory brunch.
Then strategically planned our afternoon in an array of well airconditioned stores and watched a mid afternoon movie. Enjoying only brief moments in the 100 degree weather.

As evening set in, I came to discover I could not take the heat of my house. And had to finally throw in the proverbial towel,
and retreat to Paul and Holly's place. Sweet relief!
And for some, I've crossed over to the darkside. Yesterday I bought a window unit.
