June in Chicago

Summer in Chicago = a multitude of neighborhood festivals.  First on the list, Ribfest.

Not quite festival status, though maybe for some - the Old Portage Park Garage Sale.  Blocks of garages (and yards) open for sale.  Along with these nifty frames, the group of us purchased: a mug, baby books - clothes and toys, books, Christmas decor, a coffee press, salt and pepper shakers, wedges, and way, way more.

#2 - Fiestas Puertorriquenas:  arepas, a carnival and salsa music.  The second largest Chicago festival, rivaled only by the Taste of Chicago - and the 3rd largest Hispanic event in the USA. The arepa was so delicious, I devoured it well before I could even think picture.  A must try!!  And that blur below on the game table - a mouse.  Just think, mouse roulette.  Funniest carni game ever!
